Well written and engaging thriller with a fast-moving plot. The use of some actual modern political figures is a risk that may turn off some readers, but the storytelling is solid, and writing skill is impressive, and this is an enjoyable read if you get past the real world baggage. The chapter title images are not something I have seen much of before, but they were well done. Overall good book, and worth your time, but if you are the type to get mad over the mention of a few modern political figures this may not be one for you.

I just finished inhaling The Hodin Cabal, and honestly, it surprised me. The writing has a smooth confidence I rarely find these days. The story offers clean pacing, sharp dialogue, and scenes that put me right in the middle of the action. Very refreshing.

The author knows how to build tension without dragging things out, and the world comes together piece by piece in a way that feels organic, not forced.

What impressed me most was how effortless the story moves. The characters did not just feel like names on a page. The author made them feel real and pulled me into their daily lives. It’s the kind of book I start reading and before I knew it was far past my typical bedtime.

I definitely recommend it for mystery lovers.

I picked up this book on a night when I was bored and just wanted something that would keep me awake, and I ended up reading way longer than I planned. I really liked following Debra because she feels sharp and stubborn in a way that made me root for her. The mystery kept pulling me along, and a couple moments actually made me stop and think about what might be hiding behind the scenes in real life too. There were a few spots where the point of view switched a bit fast for me, and I had to reread to catch up, but it didn’t stop me from enjoying the ride. By the time I finished, I was already thinking about who I could talk to about that ending.

The Hodin Cabal had me hooked from the first page. A secret cabal working in the shadows, controlling everything? Sign me up. The writing is fantastic and really had me immersed. I really liked Debra Ann Wynn as the main character. She is shrewd and no-nonsense and it was great seeing her unravel the mystery. The twists and turns left me wanting to read more and I’m really excited to get into the rest of the series.

A sweeping thriller that starts small and spirals into something huge, frightening, and weirdly believable. Debra Ann is one of those characters you root for because she never stops chasing the truth, even when it drags her into danger she never asked for. The layers of mystery… missing people, medical anomalies, a secretive global cabal… come together with great pacing. By the time book three hits, the stakes feel enormous.
